THE FAMILY and friends of missing Sedbury man Rikki Baldwin gathered at the spot where he was last seen to lay more tributes.

The emotional and dignified gathering on Sunday morning was to remember Rikki and was also a response to those who had desecrated previous tributes.

The new Wye bridge was covered in flowers, flags and cards from those who knew and loved the 24-year-old.

Rikki's step-father, Mr Duncan Peters, said: "It's amazing to see so many people here. It just shows how loved Rikki was.

Many of the people who left tributes were still too distressed to talk about Mr Baldwin.

Many of the messages expressed the difficulty friends were having coming to terms with Mr Baldwin's disappearance.

Messages were written on two England flags on the bridge.

As flowers and other tributes were being placed by friends many drivers on the busy A48 sounded their horns in support.

The Facebook group set up to show support now has nearly 8,500 members and many messages still retain a hope that Mr Baldwin will return home.

Also on Sunday, as part of a Facebook campaign, friends and supporters lit candles for Mr Baldwin.

Mr Baldwin has not been seen since he fell over the side of the Wye Bridge in the early hours of Easter Monday after he had been socialising with friends in Chepstow.
