DOES anyone know what is happening with the Lydbrook Bridge which has been closed for approximately four months?

My understanding is that it was inspected at the end of March on behalf of Gloucestershire Council.

Despite e-mailing the council several times I have been unable to ascertain when the necessary repairs will be carried out.

The bridge is an important part of the Wye Valley Walk and is also an access to the churchyard of Welsh Bicknor church, where many relatives  of local people are buried.

With the holiday season upon us, and for all who enjoy using it – whether tourists or local residents, it would be  shame if the bridge was not repaired soon.
