NOW that Lydney will get the long-awaited Asda store for the Forest of Dean I feel it is such a shame the Co-op in Cinderford has made it impossible for Asda to come to the residents of Cinderford.

The Co-op will not win because, rest assured, people will get into their cars and drive to Lydney and the local bus companies will operate a free service from Cinderford for those without cars.

Cinderford’s shops will suffer and Cinderford will be like a ghost town – thanks Co-op for nothing.
