SEVEN social care staff kick start their fundraising for a much-needed enclosed garden to benefit dementia sufferers with a disco this Friday (June 17).
Staff at Chepstow’s Severn View Residential Home are hosting the disco at Llanishen Village Hall from 7pm.
Only a week later the seven will tackle the Three Peaks Challenge – conquering the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.
Direct Care Services team manager, Colin Richings who is taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, said: “We’re keen to establish a garden at Severn View because we recognise that being outdoors is central to wellbeing. Not only does it improve physical health, it reduces stress, improves sleep and gives people a sense of self and place.”
Tickets to the disco are available at 01291 638921.
