I have just read your (I suppose) tongue-in-cheek leading article regarding Cllr Brian Robinson escaping the fate of being burnt in effigy to celebrate Guy Fawkes's Night.

Can this possibly be the same Cllr Robinson who, with the council's financial officers, has just brought in the district council's budget to within £15,000 of forecast, a feat for which he was rightly congratulated by the council's external auditor?

Surely not. If this were the case, the local press would have been shouting this fact (that affects us all in the Forest) across its pages. Or are we to conclude that they are biased in favour of bad or sensational news?
