A NEW minibus complete with wheelchair access has arrived in the nick of time for users and staff at Coleford's Forest of Dean Children's Opportunity Centre.

The vehicle was shown off for the first time at the centre's recent Fun Day.

Georgina Ford, who was responsible for sourcing the funding for the minibus, said the previous minibus "had done well but was no longer fit for purpose."

She said: "The new vehicle has arrived in the nick of time and will provide more opportunities for our children, especially those with physical disabilities as it is wheelchair accessible. The minibus really is an integral part of the service we provide."

Thanking everyone who supported the fund-raising, a spokesperson said the centre received no statutory funding and was reliant on grants and donations to continue running.
