A SET of recycled video tapes from a charity shop in Cinderford could help Amy Brown win the Miss England crown.

The 22-year-old Miss Forest from Cinderford is heading to the finals of Miss England in Southport tomorrow (Thursday).

The finals involve an ‘eco round’ – which is where the tapes from the Dial-A-Ride shop in Cinderford come in.

Contestants have to create their own stylish recycled outfit for the Miss Eco catwalk show.

Her mum Sonia said: “Amy’s eco dress is made from recycled video tapes donated by Cinderford Dial-A-Ride.

“Amy has raised more than £1,200 for Beauty with a Purpose, which is the main Miss England charity, and the Hollie Gazzard Trust.

“She has been sponsored all the way by the Belfry Hotel in Littledean and is happy that KW Bell is also sponsoring her in the final.”

Amy will be up against 50 others vying for

the prestigious crown, £25,000 and the chance of going on to become Miss World.

Last month we reported how she accepted a proposal from boyfriend Ben Jones during the semi-final.

Amy qualified for the final after winning the Miss Popularlity round.
