THE family who were heartbroken after their pet Jack Russell dog Ace went missing in peculiar circumstances are delighted after getting her back.
"We are delighted – I can hardly say how wonderful it is to have her back," said Lesley Hook, who with her two daughters Claire, six, and Rhiannon, 14, were still giving the little black and tan dog some extra special pampering.
"The girls are over the moon. They were really sad when we thought we might not see Ace again so when we did get news of her out of the blue it was wonderful.
"Thanks to the story in the paper we got a call from some people who said they had been given the dog after losing their own Jack Russell.
"It seems some men heard about their loss and said they had a Jack Russell which they could give to them. They brought it round but the people didn't ask them where it had come from.
"When they saw our story they knew it was Ace and they got in touch straight away."
