FURTHER to C.A. Sinden's (Cinderford) letter (27/11/2009) "Failing the town," may I please comment that the Co-op Store in Cinderford appears to hold a monopoly here and therefore charge higher prices than other supermarkets.
Regarding your P.S. may I say that the local Co-op also sells newspapers and magazines, so presumably they also do not consider local newsagents either! I would also repeat your phrase and say that the Co-op is selfish and profit-based, by your standards and comments. – Douglas Nixon, Cinderford.
