I'm puzzled. The place name 'Palmers Flat' occurs twice in the Forest. Perhaps the 'Flat' part is because the area is flat as opposed to hilly because one Palmers Flat is next to Palmers Hill.
This still leaves me puzzling over the name. Anybody any answers?
