ENGLISH Bicknor Primary School’s onsite Bicknor Bears Nursery has received funding from the Forest of Dean District Council for a new nursery building costing £200,000.

Paula Harding, manager of Bicknor Bears nursery, which caters for up to 12 children per session, said: “Construction is due to start in March 2017 to be completed ready for the start of the academic year in September.

“Staff and children were very excited when they received the news that their application for the grant to replace the old building had been successful. The spacious new nursery has been designed to enable us to deliver the nursery cur-

riculum.

“It will be fantastic for us because the children will be able to have free flow play to the outdoor play area. The view from the new building will also be stunning.”
