I WAS truly impressed at the response of customers of the Cinderford Co-op last Saturday to a petition asking Mrs May to increase the money to the NHS.

People were queuing up wanting to add their names to support the greatest institution in the world.

However, I do wonder whether it will have any effect on Mrs May who, knowing the NHS is desperate for more funds, would rather that people suffer.

She is also well aware that by cutting money to county councils to pay for home care and care homes means that people have to stay longer in hospital which is no good for them and prevents other people going in to hospital.

It seems she is happy for people to be denied the care they have paid for through their taxes all their lives and is also content that Richard Branson is taking over community nursing care and GP practices all over the country.

Mrs May should listen to the customers of Cinderford Co-op and find the money to properly fund our wonderful NHS and the social care that supports it.
