AS a resident of Newham Bottom I am absolutely fed up with the attitude of horse riders who persistently ignore the footpath signs which are for walkers only.
These footpaths are maintained regularly by a very good resident of Newham Bottom and were cleared by him last winter. It is totally unfair that these horse riders ignore the footpath signs.
There is no need to come down to Newham Bottom as the road ends in footpaths and we do not want them down here messing up the road with their manure.–Name and address supplied.Council grants
I READ with disgust about Andrew Downie's grant being turned down.
How does the council give out grants? It seems very unfair. They give thousands to some people yet this poor person who is trying to make a home for himself is refused.
How can he live in such primitive circumstances for three years before he gets a grant?
