SEEING an artist's impression of the bat roosts to be built on the Northern project what do I think of it? Are they going out into the wood and felling a few trees to make log roosts for the bats?
Or is it a new style of wood huts for council offices because it is going down thick same road as the shed they do want to site at the bottom of Cinderford for Asda.
So Mr David Warburton head of the HCA it seems you are the person in charge of this project. So how about having a nice Forest stone memorial built first in respect of the miners that lost their lives down Northern getting the coal out to keep the wheels turning all over country when the last war was on.
So Mr Warburton it looks that you are in charge of the purse strings so show a bit of respect first.
To those who lost their lives in Northern and must be remembered: John Halifax, Jack Roberts, May 20 1936, Maurice Martin Meek, December 22 1942, Tomas Yemm fatally injured died next morning June 28 1942, Charles Mason, December 13 1945, Leslie Jones, May 4 1951, Rowland Smart, December 9 1952. I might have thought of something more by next week after a few more tots of cider.
