TWO drop-in sessions are being held to give people the opportunity to voice their opinions on the way wildlife and habitats will be managed on the Northern Quarter development in Cinderford.
The biodiversity strategy technical guidance document provides general advice to developers and guidance on how to protect individual species and habitats.
Developers will need to show their proposals take account of the guidance.
The document can be found on the Forest Council's website http://www.fdean.gov.uk">www.fdean.gov.uk and at the public libraries in Cinderford, Coleford, Lydney, Mitcheldean and Newent.
Drop-in sessions will take place between 4pm and 6.30pm next Wednesday (September 11) at Steam Mills Primary School and at the Belle Vue Centre in Belle Vue Road, Cinderford on Monday, September 16.
The council's Cabinet member for the Environment, Cllr Martin Quaile said: "A huge amount of work has gone into drafting this guidance. Our own ecologists have worked closely with representatives from other organisations to produce it and we are now particularly interested in receiving views from across the community. Production of this guidance is a reflection of our absolute determination to ensure that the regeneration programme is sensitive to the needs of our fantastic local environment."
