I remember the old Red and White double decker number 1749 shown in the Forest Review.

I was an apprentice at the Red and White depot in Bulwark and worked on the same bus. I can remember all the jobs I did on it – strange but true.

I would also like to point out that there is still no plaque for Red and White which took up a large part of Chepstow with its canteen, offices etc in Albion Square.

Many who went to Newport Technical College will remember driver and conductor Morgan, not Davies, who now lives in Middlesex.
