FACILITIES management company Centigen in Newent is rejoicing as its very first employee has passed her driving test, opening up opportunities for her and the firm.
Kirsty Hambrey was taken on as a part-time cleaner for the facilities
management company, which is part of Two Rivers Housing Association, when it launched two years ago.
The local mum-of-two has increased her hours from two and a half to five hours a day, helping her to afford driving lessons.
She has now passed her test and hit the road in her new Centigen vehicle giving her the opportunity to work more hours as she travels around Gloucestershire.
Managing director, Gerry McFall said: “I feel real pride when I see anyone within the team better themselves, but the steps along the ladder Kirsty has taken probably gives me a slightly warmer feeling as she was the first person I took on within the new business.”
The facilities management company was established to generate income and give profits to Two Rivers Housing.
