A CASE has been made for improvements to local rail stations and services by a key transport group – but there is no guarantee it will become reality.

The package of improvements would include increasing the number of trains to provide a consistent hourly service for Chepstow and Caldicot, more parking at Chepstow and Severn Tunnel Junction and better access at the two stations and "basic" enhancements to Caldicot station.
