Almost close enough to touch... Review journalist Tim Oakes came across the six orphaned wild boar piglets on the roadside near to Pygmy Pinetum garden centre last week and managed this remarkably close up photograph.

The six, tagged as the Pig-my Pinetum Pigs comprise three 'humbugs' with bold stripes and three plain pigs. Skittish and prone to vanish into the undergrowth at the slightest disturbance, the piglets appear to be doing well and looked strong and healthy. How they will fare when they grow up will probably depend on their car and bullet dodging capabilities...
