GEORGE Sankey is absolutely correct. There is no need for Mabey Bridge to move huge loads during the rush hour. Over the years the long suffering people of Chepstow have been given various reasons for this dreadful imposition, from "being governed by the tide at the docks" to "following orders from the police," when in fact, like everything else these days, the decision is purely down to cost. The sooner Mabey move to their new premises the better for all of us.

While we are on the subject of traffic chao, can anyone tell me why workmen were allowed to dig a couple of holes on Pwllmeyric hill on a Friday and leave a traffic signal there all over the weekend and into the following week. This caused a huge queue in an already traffic plagued town? Also, can the person who made this decision be held accountable?
