READER Brian Pendry was quick on the draw with is camera when he spotted these mischievous ravens on a recent trip to Beechenhurst.

The big birds were having a whale of a time on the picnic site play equipment, taking advantage of the fact they had it all to themselves with the children back at school.

"The two ravens really looked as if they were playing. They were hiding things in the wood chippings and putting things on the posts by the swing," said Brian.

"One even went down the slide. I just missed taking a shot of him going down the slide but caught him at the top," he said.

"They were also looking at their reflections in the polished metal of the slide and pecking at them – it was very comical!"
