POLICE have issued a description of two motocross riders they want to talk to after a cyclist was allegedly pushed off his bike outside a rural pub.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the assault at Moseley Green outside the Rising Sun Inn, which left the cyclist with severe cuts.

Police responded to a call on Saturday, August 17, that the cyclist had been riding along the road when he was pushed off his bike by two males on a Moto X-type motorcycle.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: “It is understood that the incident took place at around 2.30pm when the men on the motorcycle deliberately came alongside the cyclist, pushed him off his bike onto the floor and then left the scene.

“The driver of the motorcycle was described as wearing a white Moto X helmet which had a peak at the front and red segments against the white background.

“The pillion passenger was not wearing a helmet. He was described as having noticeably suntanned skin and was wearing a faded green jumper.

“The cyclist sustained severe cuts and grazes that required medical treatment and his bicycle was badly damaged.

“The drivers of both a black Volkswagen and silver 4x4 stopped to assist the cyclist and it is believed that they may have information relating to the incident.

“The incident is being treated as an unprovoked attack and anyone who was in the area at the time or witnessed what took place is asked to please call 101 quoting incident 281 of 17 August.”
