Police are on the scent of burglars who stole pallets of perfume from an industrial estate.

They have also asked people to report anyone selling large quantities of Angel perfume following two break-ins at the Severn Bridge Industrial Estate in Portskewett.

The first burglary took place at Lodge Way between 7pm on Monday, April 16, and 5.45am next morning, when a vehicle was broken into and pallets of perfume reportedly stolen.

The following Friday, April 20, four men wearing dark clothing, gloves and hoods climbed over the fence to Hicks Logistics Ltd around 12.40am.

The gang used a flatbed lorry from the site to smash open the warehouse doors, but nothing was taken on this occasion.

A Gwent police spokeswoman said: “It is believed they were looking for perfume that was taken from a break in there earlier in the week.”
