POLICE are probing three burglaries in the Ross-on-Wye area last Thursday and Friday (November 2 to 3).

West Mercia officers say two youths, one wearing a hoodie and with a mountain bike, were seen when hotel outbuildings were broken into in Gloucester Road between 5am and 5.10am on Thursday.

A Karcher pressure washer, a box of brass fittings and an extension lead were among items stolen after four locks were forced open.

Both youths are described as being in their late teens, with the one with a bike wearing an Adidas hoody and carrying a rucksack which looked full.

That night, a shed at the rear of a property in an orchard in Weston under Penyard was also broken into and a Husqvarna 235E chainsaw and a Mitox 331 petrol brush cutter stolen.

Burglars also broke in overnight through a garage window and stole a mountain bike and power tools from a house in Chase Road, Ross-on-Wye.

The side window of the detached garage was forced open between 6pm on Thursday and 9am on Friday, damaging the frame, and a white ’Giant’ mountain bike and the tools removed through the damaged opening.
