ONCE again the Cinderford people have been conned, and for those who live here, we all have to put up with the insults and the jibes from other parts of the Forest.
The Triangle has turned out to be a disaster. We now hear that there is not enough money in the pot to put the statue of the miner in place. Also, the clock in the centre was not built to scale and, to cap it all, you can't see the time on the clock because the hands are painted black.
It's a case of guess the time folks, and it's no wonder ordinary taxpayers in this area feel they have been robbed. I, along with many more, feel we have been taken for a ride.
Whoever designed that clock face has no idea about the Forest, and they certainly haven't a clue about Cinderford.
I strongly suggest that a Forester, someone like Bruce Freeman, is commissioned to design a new clock face.–Dave Bowkett, Cinderford.
