LAST week's by-election results for the Lydney North Ward have revealed that only 17.4 percent of voters voted.

The results from Lydney Town Council's north ward last Thursday (July 11), indicated that out of 1,517 voters only 264 people voted.

James Bevan of the Conservatives won the overall poll with 111 votes followed closely behind John McOwan of UKIP, who narrowly missed out by four votes and finished on 108, while James Greenwood received 43 votes.

Two ballot papers were rejected.
