IF there were an award for poorly timed letters, P Young would have won it this month with his sarcasm of February 28 accusing UKIP of over-exaggerating the number of Romanians arriving.
As we all settled down to read his letter in the Review on Thursday evening, we were treated to the BBC news showing us busloads of Romanians disembarking in London, and giving actual figures for EU immigration last year of 209,000, (containing three times as many Romanians as the year before and that while they were still officially banned from entering).
Those are the true figures, 209,000 less jobs for our kids when they leave school. You can mock all you like, P Young but most UKIPpers are ordinary people just trying to ensure there are some jobs left for our children and grandchildren.
Remember that on May 9 when we can all vote in the EU elections and make a difference.
