WHEN is the truly appalling postal service in the Lydbrook area going to be looked into?
On January 24 I sent a cheque for a mail order item but have not received the article. On checking, the cheque has never been received and I have had to stop and reorder today (February 13).
I recently missed a hospital appointment which annoyed me intensely as I feel that people who cannot cancel appointments they cannot keep are the lowest of the low.
It took 17 days for a first class letter to travel from Gloucester to Lydbrook via London SE, and recently a second class letter took 18 days to do the same trip.
In Africa where I used to live I could send a message by a runner and the distance could be covered in a short while.
All the Post Office can do is apologise and give me a book of stamps. I suggest a thorough investigation would not come amiss. – Geoffrey Turner, Forge Hill, Lydbrook.
