It's a sad state of affairs when the local mp backs plans to move or even shut the local police stations across the area. The time frame for them to stay open is less now than what it was five years ago.

It's like saying we have no crime in the area when, in fact, we do.

Any government or MP should protect frontline services such as health, education and police, not stand there and do nothing to stop them from closing.

It has been made clear that the existing police stations will be sold.Well, if they are, let's not make a pig's ear out of it like when the council moved out of Lanstone House in Coleford, leaving it empty for three years and only just getting up 'For Let' signs on the place some 20 months after.

As I said before, it was a stupid idea moving services down on Vantage Point in Mitcheldean, when the area's public transport system is a joke, making it harder to get from A to B in the first place.
