THE new-look Two Rivers pub and restaurant has opened.

Managers Steve and Eve Gregory say they have been given a warm welcome by the local community.

Steve said: "We are delighted to open our doors finally after months of preparation – the fact that so many local people could join us for an exclusive preview weekend shows what a warm welcome we've been given."

The pub and 23-bedroom hotel on Newport Road has created 50 jobs and is part of the Marstons chain

Eve said: "Our team is superb and it's a testament to their hard work that our pre-opening weekend went so well – long may this success continue and we feel that The Two Rivers can become an essential part of this community for years to come."

Local town councillor Jane Robbins said: "The locals have been waiting with bated breath for the new site to open and we are delighted that this area has now been revitalised."
