SAFETY messages created by young artists will be seen around the site of a new school as is it built over the next years.

The competition was the idea of four sixth-formers at Caldicot School as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.

Maisha Miah, Georgia Mountfield and sisters Emily and Sophie Lewis worked with schools in the Caldicot area and Interserve who are building the new secondary school for Caldicot.

Pupils from Castle Park and Durand primary schools in Caldicot, Archbishop Rowan Williams Church in Wales primary in Portskewett, and Rogiet and Undy primary schools.

The overall winner was Violet Stones of Castle Park Primary School who is pictured with Interserve site manager Peter Ladwa, Sophie Lewis, Emily Lewis, Georgia Mountfield and Maisha Miah and construction manager Charles Churchill at the prize presentation.
