FOREST Junior Sea Cadets have triumphed for the third consecutive year at the Severn District Drill and Piping event held at Cheltenham over the weekend.

Junior Cadet Keaton Elliot won an individual first for his performance, and together with Junior Cadet George Cresswell and Junior Cadet Daniel Burr the trio stunned the crowds with an almost faultless routine which showed that all their hard work training was worthwhile.

The team received extra praise from the team of judges on their uniform, which was immaculate and could not be faulted.

Petty Officer Neil Donabie, trainer for the competition, said: "The team really deserve their first place after all the hard work and effort, it just goes to show what can be done when you give it your best.

"The junior section of the Forest of Dean Sea cadets are really on a roll now. They have proved they are up for the challenge. We have an updated wide and varied range of land-based as well as water-based activities for them this year, and we are looking to welcome new members."
