Roy Close believes this photograph of Cyril J Brain's business in Cinderford's High Street – taken in the late 50s or early 60s – will bring back many memories for local people. "It was at a time when the centre of Cinderford was pretty busy with all sorts of businesses and, rarely, an empty shop. It would be interesting to see a list of the traders from half a century ago," he says.
