THE annual Santa fun run through the centre of Monmouth attracted the most runners ever.
There were 491 Santas for the 2.1km event organised and marshalled by the Spirit of Monmouth Running Club.
This year’s chosen charities were Sense Cymru, which supports disabled people and their families, and the Monmouth and District Foodbank.
It is estimated the event has raised £2,000 and there is match funding from Barclays Bank.
The prizes for the best dressed Santas went to Caleb Evans (boy), Erin Glossley and Skye Chandler (girls), Steve and Sarah Hougham (mum and dad) and the Nash family as Team Fit and Elfie (team).
A special prize was awarded to Naomi Crook who has never missed a Santa Fun Run.
