I WOULD like to express my thanks to the people of Lydney and district for their participation in this year's parade.

The parade was indeed splendid and superbly marshalled once again by ex-Royal Marine Neil Gamer.

The parade numbers increased again this year continuing its growth over the past five years.

The Air Cadets' marching band was superb giving their services free to the RBL.

Special thanks to Stanley Rudge and Cllr Derek Biddle for their help with fetching and returning the road closure cones and to the Reverend Sarah Fenby for, once again, a splendid church service and to Lydney Town Band for their rendering at the Cenotaph and for a magnificent, tone-perfect bugler.
