IN his recent letter P Young gives a figure of 40 immigrants from Romania and Bulgaria. The official figure from the immigration office is a total of 142,000 Bulgarians and Romanians resident in the UK.

Few of these immigrants will be heading in his direction as Wales is bottom of the UK league tables for education and healthcare.

The poor standard of education in Wales may be the reason that P Young cannot count above 40.
