A MAN has been charged with a burglary in Ross-on-Wye during which, say police, a a pensioner was confronted by an intruder with a knife.
Gareth Robins, 35, of Wall House Road, Ross, was also charged with a burglary at West View, Newent. He appeared at Worcester Magistrates' Court last week and was bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on August 11.
In a statement police said the Ross burglary took place in the early hours of Tuesday, April 15 at a property in Three Crosses Road. The victim was said to have been asleep downstairs when he was confronted by a man with a knife who demanded money. He handed over £60 in cash.
