RESIDENTS, friends and staff at a Cinderford care home put on their dancing shoes to support a member of staff’s mother with

her biggest fundraising challenge yet.

Some £250 was raised to help Ruardean woman Fleur Hawthorn, whose daughter Hannah works at the home, with her fundraiser to support two cancer charities. The Ritmo Coleford salsa team helped with the evening.

Details of the 43-year-old’s challenge are still being kept under wraps but it is hoped that in excess of £5,000 will be raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and testicular cancer charity It’s in the Bag by September 2017.

Organiser and Hanover Court estate manager, Helen Lee said: “We are delighted to have raised £250 through our fun salsa evening and are pleased to have officially kicked off Fleur’s fundraising activities.

“We understand that Fleur has undertaken many personal challenges for charity over the last couple of years and look forward to finding out more about this challenge in due course.”
