PRESCOTT Hill Climb near Cheltenham was the scene of success for Lydbrook man, Rob Sargent, last weekend, when his Cortina won the post-1960s car class.

Rob said: “I had an invite to join the Buggatti Owners Club Garden Party Concours at the club’s headquarters at Prescott Hill Climb on the weekend with my Savage V6 Cortina MK2.

“Many millions of pounds worth of cars were present from Ferraris and Aston Martins to Jaguars and Porsches. There was even a new Audi R8 as well as plenty of Buggattis. There were various classes and I was proud to win the Porter Shield for best post-60s car.

“After judging I was delighted to be given the opportunity to have three blasts up the famous Prescott Hill Climb track in my Savage. It’s always great fun.”
