CLIMATE change film The Age of Stupid had such a profound effect on cinema-goer Lyn Mitchell that she is offering to pay for people's tickets.
Lyn, who lives in Gloucester, went to the Palace Cinema, Cinderford with her friend Geoff Kinns on Monday.
Only five other people were watching the film and Lyn was upset that a film she considers to be incredibly important was being missed.
The film shows a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, watching footage from 2008 and asking why we did not stop climate change when we had the chance.
It is showing at the Palace until Thursday (June 18).
She said: "Everybody must see it because we are killing our world and we can still stop it. If people watch this film they will see what they can do to help save the planet.
"It is so important that I am prepared to cover the cost so that everybody who goes up to and including Thursday can see it for free."
"Paying for cinema tickets seemed to be a practical way that I could do something.
"Even if people can't save the world for themselves, they can save it for their children."
Lyn is a Quaker and says she tries to live simply, focusing on the more important things in life.
She is a member of Trees for Life and her friend Geoff is involved with Friends of the Earth.
The offer applies only to showings at the Palace Cinema, Cinderford. Contact Lyn on 01452 522807 or 07814 178658 for more details.
