However, could it be that the concerns for employees of the Forest of Dean District Council expressed by district councillor for Bream, Bill Evans are motivated by self-interest?

I would imagine that most of these employees are members of the union Unite.

Unite is a major donor to the Labour Party, Bill is chairman of the Labour Party in the Forest.

Perhaps it's just a coincidence.
