A NEW Senior Section guiding group for 14 to 26 year olds is being planned for the Mitchel­dean, Westbury and Longhope areas.

Spokesman Patricia Leslie said: "Guiding in Mitcheldean continues to grow and I have been asked by some of the older Guides to start a group of older girls in the area.

"Rather than a Ranger group which is aimed at the 14 to 18 age group I propose a wider group known in Guiding as Senior Section – not a group for OAPs but one which caters for girls and young women from 14 up to their 26th birthday."

Activities will include outings, volunteering and training, but organisers stress that the group will be arranged to suit the needs of the people who join.

Patricia added: "Don't worry if work or school commitments are heavy – you don't have to attend a meeting every week."
