I NOTICED a  few weeks ago your ‘look back’ article stated  £10,000 was granted by Chepstow Town Council in November 2005 to restore the Severn Princess (the old Severn car ferry then beached under the  railway bridge in Chepstow)  to her former glory.

I would be interested in the follow-up story as the Princess is still beached under the bridge, but seems to be suffering from a severe case of rust.

What happened?

It really is a shame that she is just rusting away.
