SHIRENEWTON will hold an all day music event in aid of Help the Heroes, Care for Casualties, and the local 1st Rifles charity Swift and Bold on Sunday August 28.

Shirefest sees a multitude of bands playing on both a main and acoustic stage, including the Rob Beresford Band, The Samba Kings and One Sick Lizard.

The event includes a mixture of local music talent, as well as activities for children (the full list can be seen at – http://www.shirefest.org">www.shirefest.org).

Tickets for the event, which begins at 3pm at the Huntsman Hotel in Shirenewton, can be purchased on the day, however VIP tickets are also available in advance – 01291 641521.

Organisers hope the event will help towards Swift and Bold's target of £200,000 through ticket sales and events throughout the day.
