THE Forest Activities Festival returns on Sunday, April 24.

The ever-popular family day out, at Speech House Hotel grounds, showcases the range of activities residents and tourists can enjoy in the area, both indoors and out.

From segways at GoApe to golf at Forest Hills and tag archery at Hillside Brewery. There will be rocket science and bush craft from the Christian Adventure Centre,  throwing pots from Taurus Crafts, cookery, football rugby and much more.

The festival also features live music, craft stalls, street food market and local food and drink producers.

“The aim is for people to come and have a go, to try out a new experience,” said festival organiser Amanda Smith. “The event will feature many displays, demonstrations and taster sessions. We hope to cater for all ages, but we are especially keen to introduce children and young people to new activities that encourage a more healthy and active lifestyle.”
