START thinking about buying that extra special pair of pyjamas ready for the Ty Hafan Midnight Sleep Walks which open for registration this week.

For the first time this year one of the charity walks will be taking place on the old Severn Bridge (M48) on Friday May 20 giving a chance for families, friends and work colleagues to don a pair of pink flashing bunny ears and generally have a fun night.

"Local people may not realise how many families from the Newport and Chepstow areas access Ty Hafan's services," said Helen Gibbons from Ty Hafan.

"By giving up just one night of sleep, walkers will be helping mums from across Wales who care for their life limited children and who for them, a full night's sleep can be something of a rarity."

Registration opens this week and due to the popularity of similar events would-be participants are advised to get in early by contacting 029 2067 2065 or registering online at http://www.midnightsleepwalk.co.uk">www.midnightsleepwalk.co.uk
