THE one day Taurus Blues festival is back next Saturday (June 25) with a laid back line up of six top bands.
This years festival in the gardens of Taurus Crafts, running from 1pm to 11pm, features an impressive line up of The Trevor Burton Band, The Big Blues Tribe, Matt Woosey, The Cohen Brothers and Mumbo-Jumbo.
For a bit of background on the bands: Trevor Burton has been with The Move and Steve Gibbons band and performed with the likes of Jimi Hendrix (yes!) and Steve Winwood (yes, as well!).
The Big Blues Tribe is a nine-piece blues band in the style of BB King, Ray Charles and more recently, Jools Holland's R&B Orchestra.
Meanwhile, The Cohen Brothers are fuelled by a mutual appreciation of 1970s West Coast LA music, jazz, blues and funky rhythms.
As for Mumbo-Jumbo, they're a close harmony, multi-instrumentalist band playing bluesy and rootsy originals.
