Driving through St Briavels? Please slow down! The people who are driving through St Briavels on the busy B4228 main road could you please slow down, it is a 30mph area you know.
Every day I see men, women, elderly drivers, young drivers, women with children in their cars, men with children in their cars, van drivers, coach drivers, drivers with the name of their companies splashed all over the vehicles, lorry drivers, people carrier drivers.
Almost all of the drivers I'm talking about, except the odd responsible person, seems to think that this is acceptable behaviour, or even funny in some cases, when they've waved and laughed at me as they've flown past.
I cannot say which member of our society is the worst for these disgraceful crimes because they're all doing the same thing which is breaking the law.
I think the worst was today when a mini bus driver flew through the village with a full load of children on board while he was on his phone. Now how stupid was that?
At the top of the road, and still inside the 30mph zone, is an infant and juniors school so children are often walking up and down the road quite unaware of the dangers around them.
Do vehicle drivers have so little regard for the safety of our children that they constantly have to drive so irresponsibly? It seems that way to me.
As a parent myself I'm asking you all what will it take for you to behave sensibly when motoring through our village, a horrific accident maybe?
