I AGREE 100 per cent with Cllr Maria Edey on her comments about 'Saving The Forest' ( Letters Oct 4).

As stated Cllr Edey was not at the meeting. In fact she is not seen at many meetings of the Council.

I also agree that the person who was responsible should own up and pay the cost of the fire engine and crew from Coleford Fire Station.

I don't think he or she would have the guts to do so. I was at the meeting and if Cllr Edey is inferring that it was not one of the group supporting the ex 'Forest Champion' who does she think set the fire alarm off?

I would like to remind Cllr Edey that our head of paid services, who was unfortunately  in her wheelchair, had to wait for the fire service to attend  to escort her from the building as the lifts could not be used.
