IT'S a big week for the members of Cinderford Town Ladies Football Club – the Forest's only ladies' team – who take on Bristol Rovers Ladies in the final of the Gloucestershire Football Association Women's Challenge Cup.
The match will be played at Almondsbury on Thursday evening, kick-off 7.30pm.
To reach the final Cinderford achieved victories over Tewkesbury, Chalford and South Bristol Wanderers.
Starting life as Tuffley Athletic WFC in 1995, the team switched venues and names the following season when they moved to play at Cinderford.
Last season was their best ever – they won their league and league cup and reached the semi-finals of the FA County Cup and the quarter finals of the Pat Sowden Cup.
Now they have settled in to a new home at Harrow Hill playing in the South West League Premier Division which involves considerable travelling and matches as far away as Penzance, Newton Abbot and Barnstaple.
